Evolution and Innovation
The SF-25 continues the tradition of recent years, representing the seventy-first Formula 1 car produced by Ferrari and the fourth of the second generation of ground-effect cars introduced in 2022. While the name remains consistent, the vehicle is entirely new and features cutting-edge technical solutions. One of the most significant modifications made by the technical team led by Loic Serra is the switch from a push rod front suspension to a pull rod setup. This change was adopted to optimize airflow and expand aerodynamic development possibilities, which had already been extensively utilized in the previous design. The SF-25 is designed to maximize potential in a championship where even the smallest details can significantly impact results.
Power Unit Optimization
Regarding the power unit, the 066/15 does not introduce technical innovations, as the engine architecture has been frozen by regulation since 2022. However, the team has focused its efforts on optimizing the power unit usage strategy, seeking to adapt it to every race condition and extract the maximum performance. Despite limitations on engine test bench hours, work on reliability has continued relentlessly, with a thorough analysis of processes and lessons learned from the previous season.
Livery and Design
During the London event, the new livery received an enthusiastic reception. It represents a perfect balance between past, present, and future, reflecting power and tradition. The Racing Red 2025, with a darker tone and matte finish, celebrates decades of challenges, drawing inspiration from the historical colors of the Scuderia. A diagonal white stripe crosses the car, symbolizing dynamism and a forward-looking vision. The glossy red and white details, subtle yet distinctive, highlight the craftsmanship that characterizes the Ferrari brand. The wheels are fully painted red, while the numbers for Charles and Lewis will be in white, using the official Ferrari font, Ferrari Sans.
